Update

The ABOUT page has been updated. I have added a photo which has been sorely lacking for quite sometime.

IAM Encounter

Mark has been invited to sit on a panel at the International Arts Movement Encounter 2010. It's still kind of up in the air but the general topic will be about the future of the Avant-garde and artists. There will be others sitting on the panel whose areas of expertise will be in visual art and film. It will be an interesting discussion to be sure. Hope to see you there.

Travel

In June Mark traveled to Austria where he directed the choir and played trumpet in a jazz combo. It was all part of the Arts in the Alps, directed by Kelly Dehnert. Pictures are in the Gallery.

Recent Performances

Mark won the juried music competition at the International Arts Movement Encounter 2009. As a result ...glass darkly... was performed at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center in February. Pianist Hugh Sung and Sato Moughalian were the performers. See the gallery for a few photos.

Upcoming performances include a performance of ...glass darkly... in Paris by Duo Aksak. If the recordings on their myspace page are an indication of how well they will do it should be a great performance.

Mark is also working on a “project” with Douglas O’Grady. The details cannot be released as of yet but if all goes well a preview will be given at Georgia College and State University.
